On April 9–10, 2025, the 8th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Safety, Management, Health and Technological Innovations" was held at the Multidisciplinary Research Center of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. The main organizer of the event was the Academy of Sport Education, and the entire event was supervised by dr hab. Jerzy Telak, professor of science, Vice-Rector for Research at the Academy of Sport Education. The conference brought together experts, scientists and practitioners from Poland and abroad, becoming a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences on the key challenges of today.
Interdisciplinarity and practical dimension of the conference
During the two-day event, both plenary sessions and detailed thematic panels were held, which focused on four main areas: security, management, health and technological innovation. Issues important from the point of view of contemporary state and social systems were discussed - from the issue of international and local security, through crisis management, to new technologies supporting health care systems and public administration. A strong emphasis was placed on the practical aspects of the topics discussed - the speakers presented real challenges faced by institutions in Europe and around the world, and also indicated specific solutions and strategies for action in a dynamically changing reality.
Speech by former President of the Republic of Poland Aleksander Kwaśniewski
One of the most important points of the program was the speech of the honorary guest of the conference – former President of the Republic of Poland Aleksander Kwaśniewski, who joined the participants online. In his speech, he referred to the current challenges related to the security of Central and Eastern Europe, placing them in a historical and political context. The President recalled the key moments of the political transformation process in Poland and the countries of the region, including Poland's accession to NATO in 1999. He drew attention to the growing threat from Russia, indicating the need for deeper political, technological and defense cooperation within the European Union. His reflections were met with great interest by the participants and became an impulse for further discussions on the future of the continent's security.
Four thematic sessions and exchange of experiences
The conference program was divided into four detailed thematic sessions: Security, Management, Medicine and Health, and Technological Innovations. Each of them gathered specialists representing both scientific and practical environments - representatives of public administration, uniformed services, non-governmental organizations, healthcare and the technology sector. During the session devoted to security, threats related to cybercrime, humanitarian crises and geopolitical changes were analyzed. The management panel discussed new organizational models and crisis management, as well as issues of sustainable development. Medical topics focused on the challenges of healthcare systems, innovative solutions in the field of telemedicine and public health. In turn, the session devoted to technological innovations presented solutions from the area of artificial intelligence, process automation, digital transformation and integration of technologies in various sectors of socio-economic life.
International cooperation and involvement of partner universities
This year's edition of the conference was held with the participation of academic partners from Poland and Ukraine, which emphasized its international dimension and importance in the context of intercultural cooperation. The involvement of such a wide range of partners confirmed that the topics discussed during the conference are universal in nature, and cooperation between educational, scientific and administrative institutions is necessary to effectively respond to the challenges of the 21st century. The Academy of Sport Education, as the main organizer and initiator of the event, once again confirmed its active role in building an international scientific dialogue.
