The 21st edition of the Sports Managers Factory is behind us!
On Saturday, April 26, the 21st edition of the Sports Managers Factory took place at the Academy of Sport Education - a special event that is an excellent opportunity for students to present their own ideas, gain valuable experience and establish contacts with representatives of the world of sports, business and science. The packed auditorium gathered not only students, but also academic staff, graduates, experts from the sports industry, invited guests and representatives of organizations cooperating with the Academy of Sport Education.
The Sports Managers Factory has been considered a "talent forge" for several years - and this year's edition confirmed once again that young people associated with Academy of Sport Education have enormous potential that can change the face of modern sport. Importantly, after many editions conducted in the online formula, we are returning to stationary meetings, which - although they require courage and live performances from participants - allow you to fully experience the energy of the event, direct emotions and interaction with the audience.
Student projects at the highest level
During this year's Sports Managers Factory, five Academy of Sport Education students presented their own projects: Justyna Luba, Karol Goś, Mikołaj Serkowski, Norbert Banasiak and Marcin Guzik. Each participant prepared a presentation in which they presented their innovative ideas for the development of sports, management of sports events, cooperation with business partners or building physically active communities. The presentations were assessed in terms of ingenuity, implementation possibilities, marketing values and potential impact on the development of sports in Poland. The students demonstrated not only great substantive knowledge, but also courage in taking on ambitious topics and the ability to present them professionally in front of a large audience.
The projects were assessed by both the large audience and the Sports Managers Factory Chapter, which included representatives of the world of sports, marketing, science and business. The jury included:
Karol Goś and Mikołaj Serkowski with awards and distinctions
After exciting presentations and stormy deliberations of the Chapter, the winners of this year's edition were announced. The Award of the Chapter of the Sports Managers Factory was awarded ex aequo to Karol Goś and Mikołaj Serkowski. Both presented projects that stood out not only for their innovation, but also for their high level of refinement and great implementation potential. What's more, the audience gathered during the event also awarded their distinction - the greatest recognition was won by Karol Goś, who received thunderous applause and heartfelt congratulations. All participants received thanks for their effort and commitment, and their works showed that Academy of Sport Education students are ready to have a real impact on the shaping of the Polish and international sports market in the future.
Sports Managers Factory – a forge of talents and passions
One of the points of the program of the 21st edition of the Sports Managers Factory was also the official presentation of the MamTrener project and application – a modern tool supporting trainers and physically active people in the process of selecting the best specialists. The project was presented with the participation of Andrzej Jaskot, MamTrener ambassador and member of Master Elite.
The 21st edition of the Sports Managers Factory proved once again that the Academy of Sport Education is a place where knowledge meets practice, and passion combines with professionalism. This event gives students a unique opportunity to test their skills in conditions similar to the realities of professional work, face demanding assessment criteria and receive valuable feedback from experts. The Sports Managers Factory is above all an experience that pays off at later stages of a professional career.
The Sports Managers Factory perfectly shows what the reality of working in the industry looks like – time pressure, presence of the audience, direct confrontation with questions from experts and the need to defend one's own vision. For many students, participation in this event is the first such serious test of their presentation and management skills. They have to present their idea, convince both the Chapter and the audience, and at the same time demonstrate their knowledge of the market realities, creativity and the ability to adapt. They often receive questions that require a quick response and deep understanding of the topic - and this is where they gain the most valuable experience. We are already looking forward to the next edition, new ideas and more successes of our students!
